CUEVAS KUINLAM & BERMÚDEZ was founded in 1986 by Messrs. Rafael Cuevas-Kuinlam and Jorge Bermúdez-Torregrosa. Their aim was to render personalized top-quality legal services to medium and large-size corporations with special emphasis on efficiency and cost effectiveness. To that end, they joined their more than forty years of experience, and worked hard. After more than twenty years of working together, the Firm gained a great reputation and long-lasting relationships with its clients. The Firm and its staff of experienced lawyers represent a diverse base of clients in civil and commercial litigation in Federal as well as State Courts in Puerto Rico and abroad, and offers specialized legal services in the areas of distribution contracts, employment law, and labor relations, including employers’ campaign and collective bargaining, management representation, wage and hour, discrimination laws, workmen compensation, insurance and corporate law, among others.

In 2005, Roberto Márquez Sánchez Esq. and José O'Neill Font, Esq., joined the firm as Off Counsels. They strengthened the firm's litigation capabilities. Mr. Márquez-Sánchez specializes in federal complex litigation and Mr. O'Neill-Font handles the defense of tort claims, with emphasis in medical malpractice. In 2010, upon the retirement of Mr. Bermúdez, they joined as members and the firm became CUEVAS KUINLAM, MÁRQUEZ & O’NEILL.
